Local Trip to Red River Gorge Underground
OCTOBER local trip
Saturday, October 21st
October is a popular time to visit the Red River Gorge for the fall scenery during cooler temperatures. We have planned a dual outing on Saturday, Oct 21. Join us for one or, both!
- An hour long guided classic kayak tour with The Gorge Underground.
Arrive by 9:30am for check in and orientation. Tour begins at 10am. - A hike on one of RRG’s nearby trails, suitable for all abilities.
9:30am – Kayak Tour (reservation/fee required – see below)
12:30am – Hike in Natural Bridge State Park. Meet at Hemlock Lodge, Natural Bridge State Park.
A minimum of 8 spots have been reserved for the club. The weekend times sell out very quickly, so take advantage of this group outing. To secure your reservation, payment of $73 needs to be made on the club website no later than Oct 11.

For carpooling, let's meet at 7:45 am at Lowe's on Grey Lag Way off of Winchester Rd parking lot corner near Starbucks. We'll make a brief stop at the Slade Exit #33 rest area.
