Annual Picnic with the Pops is coming up on Saturday, August 9 in the Meadow at Keeneland. All general admission tickets sell out fast, but LSSC has two reserved, well-positioned tables, so plan on joining us for a fun evening!
Get ready to travel back to the ’80's with an unforgettable performance, featuring a dynamic band, powerhouse vocalists, and the full force of the Lexington Philharmonic, all led by Music Director, Mélisse Brunet! Back to the ’80’s is a power-packed evening of the decade’s #1 hit songs, including “The Power of Love,” “Time After Time,” “Material Girl,” “I’ve Had the Time of My Life,” “Addicted to Love” and many others. Expect to hear songs from the most iconic stars of the ’80’s, such as Madonna, Debbie Gibson, Huey Lewis & The News, Phil Collins, Joe Cocker, and others. This Schirmer Theatrical/Greenberg Artists co-production features arrangements by Grammy-winner Jeff Tyzik.
This is a BYOFB – bring your own food and beverage – event, but there will be some on-site food trucks. Alcohol is permitted, but will not be sold on-site. Food offerings may be found at https://www.lexpops.com/food
Gates open at 4 PM with the performance beginning at dusk, around 8pm. Parking is included in the price of admission. The show ends around 11:00pm
